Sr. Research Scientist - Hemophilia Group - Wyeth

Position Description

We seek talented and highly motivated Sr. Research Scientist for the Hemophilia group to join a dynamic drug discovery program focused on identifying novel therapeutics for hemophilia and related blood coagulation disorders. You will work in a team setting, designing and implementing studies to evaluate new protein-based therapeutics in the setting of hemophilia A and B. Specific skills required include a demonstrated working knowledge of protein recombinant protein expression in mammalian systems as well as all common procedures in molecular biology and/or protein purification and characterization. This position will also provide opportunity to lead projects through the drug development process. Candidates should be self-motivated, a high performer and not require constant supervision. The ideal applicant will have demonstrated exceptional past performance. Level and title will be commensurate with the experience and education level of the selected candidate.

You must have an advanced degree in biology or a related field with an emphasis on protein expression and/or molecular biology. Candidates must have 4+ years of relevant experience preferably in blood coagulation and/or hemostasis with some experience within the pharmaceutical industry. Only internal candidates with a BS + a minimum of 8 years experience or an MS + a minimum of 8 years of experience will be considered for this position. Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work within a matrix managed organization.
