Sr. Scientist - Lentigen

Position Description

Lentigen has an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Scientist to lead the Influenza VLP Vaccine effort. Lentigen has recently received a grant to develop Virus Like Particle vaccines for seasonal and pandemic influenza into clinical trials. An experienced process development scientist is being sought to develop and test methods of purification, concentration, and optimization for the VLP product. Candidate must be proficient with all sorts of column chromatography, and have experience purifying viruses or viral-like particles. The Senior Scientist should have knowledge and experience in areas of biotechnology process development, technology transfer, manufacturing and process validation.

MS and/or PhD in the Life Sciences and have at least 3 years of research experience. Experience in virology (plaque assays, virus growth, and characterization), including virus or protein purification techniques is preferred. Must have experience with laboratory-scale downstream processing hardware used for techniques such as microfluidization, tangential flow filtration, etc.

The position is full time for 2-3 years, with opportunity to extend to permanent.
