Formulation Scientist - SIGA Technologies, Inc

Position Description

SIGA is seeking a Pharmaceutical Product Development person with a strong background in pre-formulation and clinical stage formulation development of various dosage forms. Successful candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutics or Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field with zero to two years of pharmaceutical industry experience, or a Master’s degree with one to four years of relevant experience.

Required skills include:

Pre-formulation studies for solid and solution formulations.
Development of solid and sterile injectable dosage forms for clinical development.
Experience in Sterile formulation. Having adequate knowledge of LAF, Autoclave sterilization, Sterility and packaging is preferred.
Should be familiar with documentation like SOP preparation, analytical method validation and batch records.
Knowledge of CGMP, process validation and CMC regulatory requirements for IND/NDA filing of small molecules.
Familiar with current analytical techniques such as LC/MS, UV/VIS, TGA, DSC and XRD is preferred.
Qualified candidate must have attention to detail, flexibility, ability to work independently, ability to multi-task, and good oral and written communication skills.
