Position Description

Social & Scientific Systems, a growing employee-owned technical and research support firm, has an immediate opening for a Clinical Trials Specialist. This exciting position will facilitate and document the development, implementation, and analysis of clinical trials. The Clinical Trials Specialist will manage, organize, and guide protocol team in protocol development and review process. This position will: apply project management techniques in the protocol development process; facilitate team communication by coordinating, participating, and documenting protocol team meetings and conference calls with decisions and action items; prepare first, subsequent, and final drafts of protocols, incorporating team decisions into documents; prepare the sample informed consent for the protocol; coordinate budget development and resolve funding issues; monitor development of protocol support documents, including training materials, laboratory documents, and protocol specific web page; coordinate the implementation, management, and opening/closure of protocols; track study monitoring and ensure safety reviews are carried out, and letters are drafted and disseminated; maintain current protocol specific web page and current database information for studies at all stages of development.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related science field.
• Four years professional experience in a scientific or health-related position with two years of experience in the design, development, conduct or analysis of clinical research/care; (or non-science degree and five years of experience in a scientific or health-related position with two years of experience in the design, development, conduct or analysis of clinical research/care).
• Strong writing and communication skills. We will request writing samples during the interview process.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
