Position Description

Formulation Scientist
SIGA is seeking a Pharmaceutical Product Development person with a strong background in pre-formulation and clinical stage formulation development of various dosage forms. Successful candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutics or Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field with zero to two years of pharmaceutical industry experience, or a Master’s degree with one to four years of relevant experience.
Required skills include:
• Pre-formulation studies for solid and solution formulations.
• Development of solid and sterile injectable dosage forms for clinical development.
• Experience in Sterile formulation. Having adequate knowledge of LAF, Autoclave sterilization, Sterility and packaging is preferred.
• Should be familiar with documentation like SOP preparation, analytical method validation and batch records.
• Knowledge of CGMP, process validation and CMC regulatory requirements for IND/NDA filing of small molecules.
• Familiar with current analytical techniques such as LC/MS, UV/VIS, TGA, DSC and XRD is preferred.
Qualified candidate must have attention to detail, flexibility, ability to work independently, ability to multi-task, and good oral and written communication skills.
