Position Description
The Sr. Manager of Global Marketing for Oncology will be responsible for assisting with global product and market development activities for late stage (Ph3) oncology products in preparation of launch. In this role, the sr. manager will be responsible for helping to develop and implement the global brand strategy for several late stage oncology products.
Specific activities include but are not limited to:
• Working with market research colleagues to understand the disease state and treatment paradigms
• Developing and implementing publication strategies to address product and market development needs
• Working with medical experts and key opinion leaders
• Developing initial positioning and messaging for the brands
• Developing strategies and tactical activities to inform key customer segments (patients, physicians, nurses, payors)
• Working with global Biogen Idec affiliates to prepare them for the launch of the brands
This job entails working on cross-functional drug development teams and representing commercial perspectives to team members and management.
Qualifications
Biopharmaceutical company experience with either early stage or late stage products, preferably hematology/oncology. Candidate will be comfortable working on cross-functional drug development teams and representing commercial perspectives. Candidate should be familiar with performing qualitative and quantitative analyses to develop commercial strategies.
Additionally, candidates should have experience with KOL development and engagement, publication planning, brand management and positioning, and general product commercialization knowledge. Strong leadership and teamwork skills are required.
