Position Description
The main purpose of this job is to manage the technical functions of the Commercial Compliance Department (tracking databases, monitoring reports, etc.). In the area of Compliance, there is an ever increasing need from regulatory bodies to have systems that monitor and track pharmaceutical companies’ interactions with healthcare professionals. This is a cross functional role that interacts with Legal, Marketing, Managed Markets, Sales, Medical Affairs, Patient Services, Sales Operations, Corporate Compliance, and Information Technology.
• Manage a web-based application that tracks company’s healthcare professional spend and file reports as required by state and government agencies
• Liaison with IT, Finance and other departments to ensure internal systems appropriately document healthcare professional spend and appropriately feed into the state-reporting system
• Accountable for the development and implementation of solutions to compliance documentation requirements (e.g., healthcare professional spend, training, monitoring)
• Develop reports to analyze commercial compliance activities
• Develop commercial compliance policies, procedures, and standards
• Create technical job aids and other training materials for systems and state reporting
• Apply new regulations and laws to impacted commercial systems
Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge and understanding of commercial systems, including, but not limited to, Oracle, Siebel, Polaris, and Business Objects
• Highly skilled in operations and processes
• Strong project management, communication (oral and written), and analytical skills
• An understanding of OIG guidance, FDA regulations, and the PhRMA Code
• Advanced business/systems analysis knowledge, deep understanding of technology (platform, applications, infrastructure), proven meeting facilitation skills and documentation skills
• Approaches problems from multiple points of view. Gives sufficient attention to both short-term and long-term problems. Excels in creative problem solving
