Position Description

Opportunity: Play a lead role in expanding the company’s most profitable and fastest growing line of business, its clinical trials (“Bio”) and pharmaceutical division.

Locations: Long Island City, NY and Miami, FL.

Background: With more than 25 years of experience in logistics solutions, this privately-held company has a large network of branches in Latin America, the U.S., Europe and Asia, with over 3,000 dedicated employees. The Bio Division is focused on providing solutions for companies conducting clinical trials in the US, Europe, South America and Asia.

Responsibilities:

 Generate new, profitable business that meets/exceeds established targets.
 Proactively maintain and cultivate existing customer relationships.
 Develop strategic partnerships with customers and vendors.
 Prepare presentations and RFP responses.
 Maintain familiarity with developments and trends in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly related to clinical trials.
 Prepare reports, forecasts and updates for senior management, including a monthly report comprised of hard data as well as subjective input on trends, competitors and more.
 Keep meticulous records of information relevant to the sales and account maintenance process..
 Maintain high level of understanding of the Company’s various products and services.
 Learn about and keep up with customs, U.N. and other regulations pertain-ing to the industry.
 Keep management informed on the status, strategic issues and negotiating tactics for each proposed and ongoing transaction.
 Mentor and educate Company staff as necessary, including training of other Account Executives.

Qualifications:

 A well-developed understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, acquired through a minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
 Sales experience required with a demonstrated track record of success.
 Experience securing, managing and cultivating alliances.
 A minimum of 8 years total business experience.
 A thorough understanding of the drug development and relevant regulatory process.
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills; influence and presentation skills.
 Ability to handle multiple tasks productively and exceptional attention to detail.
 Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
 Minimum of a BS in Science; an MBA is a plus.
 Ability and willingness to travel, up to 25%.

Compensation:

Base Salary Plus Commission
