Position Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead pharmacoeconomic and outcomes research projects. Clients include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and diagnostics companies. Projects may be prospective or retrospective in nature, ranging from observational cohort studies (including patient registries) to database studies, economic models, systematic literature reviews, pricing studies, PRO instrument development/assessment, and related research. Markets of interest for these studies include North America, Europe, South America and Asia/Pacific;
• Oversee and participate in the preparation of manuscripts, abstracts, podium/poster presentations and technical reports for publication, as well as client presentations based on project work;
• Assess prospective study requirements and assignments (workload tracking and forecasting) and oversee implementation;
• Participate actively in new business development in collaboration with the executive and business development teams;
• Supervise project teams in multiple US offices and direct management of staff and relevant operational activities;
• Assess staffing needs and levels and supervise recruiting efforts and hiring;
• For direct reports, establish performance goals, implement training and other development efforts, and conduct performance evaluations;
• Conduct project planning and management, resource and financial planning and oversight, general supervision of project assignments;
• Effectively manage client interactions and maintain satisfaction;
• Work with executive team to update and implement strategic vision;

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Doctorate or Master’s degree in relevant fields such as pharmacoeconomics, health economics, public health or health policy, epidemiology, pharmacy, medicine, clinical science, quality of life and psychometrics or related;
• Experience in a consulting environment, contract research organization, or pharma-ceutical/biotechnology company performing health economic, quality of life, epidemi-ologic, health policy or related research;
• Experience in North American and European markets is strongly preferred; experience in South American and/or Asia Pacific markets is highly desirable;
• Experience and skill in program planning; project management; staff recruitment, supervision, training, and development; financial and resource planning and management, and quality assurance;
• Focused expertise in process development within complex, challenging and changing environments;
• Excellent writing and overall communication skills required, as is a good publication record;
