Director, Quality Control
(Lovely Midwest Location)

The Company
Our client is a leading biopharmaceutical company dedicated to one goal — to protect life. The company develops, manufactures and commercializes immune related biologics, vaccines and biotherapeutics that assist the body’s immune system to prevent or treat infectious and other life threatening diseases.

The Position
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Provide strong leadership for a GMP testing facility.
· Provide strategic planning to the QC division
· Ensure cGMP compliance in the testing of vaccines and other biological products and be responsible for the leadership in contact with the FDA and other regulatory agencies and customers.
· Provide strong technical leadership assuring QC laboratory compliance standards for the division as well as oversight of the development of methods, protocols and technology transfer to and from the QC division.
· Provide leadership and guidance to provide batch release activities, assay transfer validation and stability programs.
· Plan and execute a strategic approach to new and existing programs.
· Interact with other functional areas to define project requirements and objectives.

The ideal candidate will have:
· Bachelors degree or higher required
· 10 plus years of cGMP Quality Control experience in a biopharmaceutical setting required, including 5 plus years of progressively responsible leadership experience.
· Strong management skills coupled with relationship management skills are essential
· Minimal travel will be required
· Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Compensation
