Location: Boston Mass
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement health economics and reimbursement activities for the division working with divisional staff and key internal and external stakeholders:
• Develop practical strategies and tactics to secure optimal reimbursement products and the procedures they enable.
• Implement tactical planning activities required to achieve health economics and reimbursement strategic objectives (e.g., preparation of economic and reimbursement dossiers for payer negotiations, new code applications, customer billing guides).
• Identify key health economics needs for platform products working with health economics and outcomes research colleagues to determine actions required.
• Assess reimbursement opportunities and challenges facing the division’s emerging technologies and commercially marketed products and communicate business impact to senior management.
* Apply varied research methodology and study design skills to the analysis of observational, registry, and clinical trial data sets.
* Input into key clinical trial strategies and study designs with health economic and quality-of-life measures to support commercialization of the procedure/device.
Minimum Education & Experience:
The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills in the areas of health economics and reimbursement. The position requires the candidate to be current in the field and able to work in a wide array of settings.
• Minimum 3-4+ years in reimbursement, health economics and/or outcomes research, preferably with experience working with new medical technologies in the medical device or pharmaceutical arena.
• Bachelor or Master’s Degree (preferred). Coursework or degree in health economics, public health, health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics, health care administration or related discipline highly desirable.
