The Patient Services Department is the face of Biogen Idec to the people who benefit from our Multiple Sclerosis and Crohn’s Disease therapies. Our goal is to educate customers about Multiple Sclerosis & Crohn’s disease and our products, as well as to provide services that facilitate access to our treatments, to ensure patient safety and compliance with FDA standards, and to support people in managing their therapy for long-term benefits.

The Training Associate is responsible for the development and delivery of training content for new and existing Patient Services personnel. This includes on going planning, design, development, evaluation, and delivery (including but not limited to; classroom facilitation and on line blended learning) of courses within the internal customer service model for Patient Services

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and facilitate training solutions to improve organizational performance
  • Design and implement learner centered training
  • Assist in department wide needs assessments to identify on going training needs/gaps and implement training solutions to improve business results
  • Coordinate and administer training events, including but not limited to, session scheduling, site contracts, participant communication and distribution of materials
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training solutions, implement improvement initiatives, and communicate progress to key stakeholders
  • Provide consultation to management and supervisors to increase organizational and facility performance
  • Maintain standards for instructional design and classroom facilitation

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience working with theory and application of Adult Learning and measurement of learning
  • Demonstrated facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to plan, organize and drive multiple projects simultaneously
  • Action oriented and results oriented individual, emphasizing expansion and application of training knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing corporate environment
  • Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends occasionally
