ABOUT THE AGENCY
A growing full-service healthcare marketing agency (delivering both promotional medical education and publication planning services and products) with an exclusive focus on HIV, viral hepatitis, and other ‘ID specialty’ therapeutics is seeking a Client Account Manager to be based in their New York City office. The agency brings a unique combination of clinical background, marketplace savvy, imagination, scientific rigor, and passion to its work. Their focus is strategic, but they are also well-schooled in tactical execution, making use of a broad array of tactics to ensure the right communications reach the appropriate audience.

The Agency offers health insurance through Oxford, a 401-K plan with employer contribution, all usual holidays, vacation and sick leave, and flexibility to work from home occasionally.

THE POSITION
The Client Account Manager will serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, ensuring that all projects are progressing as needed, identifying additional client needs, and selling in new projects and services to meet those needs. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with several years experience, taking on increasingly greater responsibilities, who wants to prove her/himself as a highly capable manager, and is eager to show that s/he can grow business and move to the next level.

The Client Account Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Day-to-day liaison and communications with client, including communications about the progress of all projects, creation of contact & status reports, putting forth recommendations, managing issues, and leading the development of yearly plans and interim proposals
• Ensuring that all projects are progressing on time and on budget
• Ensuring that all client standards are met
• Ensuring that all regulatory rules & guidelines are understood and followed
• Staying current on all relevant product and competitor activity, and ensuring both the internal team and the client are aware of new information
• Interfacing with key internal staff, including scientific, editorial, and financial
• Liaising with outside vendors or other third parties

The ideal Client Account Manager will take a very proactive and hands-on approach to his/her work. Requirements of the position include:
• Several years experience in promotional medical education and publications, with demonstrated success in project management
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop successful client relationships
• Commercial awareness and understanding
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Excellence in written and spoken communications
• Intellectual curiosity
• Understanding of bio/pharmaceutical development and marketing
• Resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
• Citizen or legal resident of the United States
