Position Description
As a Direct Sales Account Manager, you will be part of Agilent Technologies Life Science and Chemical Analysis (LSCA) dynamic sales team. In this critical sales role you will utilize your expertise and technical knowledge of the Life Sciences industry to manage accounts in the Mid-America region. You will be expected to sell chromatography solutions and to proactively develop and implement a successful sales strategy to exceed quota. As an integral member of the Life Sciences Sales and Support team, you will use your excellent sales track record to focus on acquiring new customers while maintaining and growing the existing installed base of customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for large account management and representing Agilent’s entire portfolio to the customer.
- Representing Agilent’s LSCA to the customer in all sales-related activities
- Responsible for developing customer relationships and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for field sales and support experience for hardware, software, and services in HPLC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS, UV-Vis, CE and Networked Data System products to end-user customers in assigned geographic, territory, industry or accounts.
- Selling solutions, products and services to end-user customers in assigned territory, industry, and accounts.
- Leading projects that require coordinating cross-functional organizations, partnering with product specialists who focus on LCMS, Informatics, Services and Columns & Supplies for interfacing with targeted accounts.

Qualifications:
- BS/MS in a Life Science discipline (advanced degree preferred)
- 3+ years direct sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success
- High level of expertise in Liquid Chromatography including a working knowledge of Fast LC and/or UPLC.
- Strong business development and sales/closing skills.
- Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills.
- Able to interface comfortably at high levels within the customer management structure
- Proteomics/biochemistry product expertise within varied industries and customer types desired.
