Position Description

JOB FUNCTION:

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing the strategic and tactical marketing plan for the company and the company brand. In addition, the Marketing Director will be responsible for securing new business through an aggressive marketing plan, setting strategic direction for the product portfolio and the brand, and leading execution of marketing plans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Sell the company’s products and secure new business through an aggressive marketing strategy.
2. Establish and maintain vendor, distributor and customer relations.
3. Planning, developing and implementing the strategic and tactical marketing plan for the company and the Company brand.
4. Direct product strategic planning activities.
5. Prioritize product opportunities to maximize sales and profits.
6. Direct, monitor and evaluate market research programs.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Establish marketing priorities and documents for sales progress and statistics.
2. Coordinate marketing activities such as advertising, and direct mail campaigns to customers.
3. Interact with prospective customers for bulk active pharmaceutical and life science products as well as new entities.
4. Establish system for sales lead generation.
5. Attend trade shows.
6. Determine research methods to track demographic trends and market demands.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Preferably Ph.D. in biosciences or bachelor’s degree with advanced business experience in bioscience field.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:

1. 8-10 years experience in bioscience marketing preferably peptide field sales.
2. Excellent computer skills.

SKILLS:

1. Excellent communication, verbal and written.
2. Motivation with a strong bias for action.
3. Knowledge of company’s products and capabilities.
4. Aggressive passion for marketing and drive to succeed.
5. Charisma (excellent people skill).
