Senior Analyst, Business Planning - Biogen Idec

Position Description

This Wellesley, Massachusetts-based position reports directly to the Senior Manager U.S. Oncology/Rheumatology Operations.

The position is responsible for supporting both the Rituxan® Oncology (Onc) and Rheumatology (RA) sales forces primarily through administration of the sales incentive compensation administration, sales data quality control, performance reporting, and ad-hoc business analysis.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Administer the Sales Incentive Compensation plan; oversee integrity of IC payout methodology; goal setting and data integrity
• Design and execute internal data management processes (e.g. label changes, house accounts, territory zip alignments)
• Develop/Maintain/Improve sales scorecard for Senior Management team, based on the needs of the business and goals.
• Communicate field needs into solutions which may require interface with IT, Genentech or sales management
• Managed the coordination and QC of sales data from Genentech and external parties (e.g. monthly sales data loads)
• Frequently interface with both RA & Oncology sales force teams and senior management to support questions around IC, sales data, sales report analysis, data labels, etc.

• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving skills and business acumen
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, including ability to synthesize information for senior management and to train the sales force on data and tools
• Proven record of handling complex analyses and large databases
• 5+ years experience in analytics
• 3+ years of pharmaceutical industry or related experience
• Must be highly adept at analytical software/tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and have a broad –based awareness of other analytical tools.
