Agilent Technologies, Inc. has an immediate need for a Mechanical Engineering project lead to develop components for our industry leading analytical instrumentation. The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills with Mechanical Engineering Experience.

In our R&D group, you will be part of a cross functional team of Manufacturing, Marketing and Quality that analyzes, designs, prototypes and tests new products. You will be the project and technical lead of this team to complete new product introductions for Agilent Technologies. As the technical lead you will work on a wide variety of products and an equally wide variety of technologies. These include plastic, glass and metal parts used in sensitive chemical instrument components, where precision and chemical properties are key to performance.

You will also be expected to:

* Lead projects for developing new consumables and supplies for Agilent Analytical products
* Work closely with a cross functional team, consisting mainly of marketing and procurement to introduce new consumables products
* Manage Projects as appropriate according to the Agilent Project Lifecycle for new product development.
* Maintain a safe working environment and follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations.

Qualifications:
•Bachelors or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
•Minimum 5 years experience in technical leadership role in product development, and proficiency with 3D CAD program for mechanical design
•Minimum 5 years in project management leading new product development.
•Demonstrated experience of developing products at external suppliers
•Machine design of instrument components, including precision machined and sheet metal parts, ceramics and molded plastic parts.
•The ability to work in multi-disciplined, cross-department environment with good communication skills
•The ability to design, model and analyze mechanical systems using solid theoretical understanding of engineering principles
•Demonstrated ability to be creative in solutions to complex problems.
•Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
•Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, demanding, collaborative, and exciting technology environment
•Demonstrated initiative and creativity is a must
•Strong leadership and collaboration skills
•Strong work ethic and team player attributes.
