Position Description
PharPoint Research, Inc. is a medium size CRO that provides pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies with biostatistics and data management expertise in support of Phase I-IV drug and device development. Our team of very experienced experts is seeking a Director of Business Development and Client Services.
Responsibilities include:
• Identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, referrals and networking in order to meet sales targets
• Managing and oversee the development of proposals and contracts including scope of work and budgets
• Facilitate timely close of all contracts
• Negotiating with clients for financial and contractual aspects of proposals, in addition to managing contracts and change orders
• Track all business opportunities
• Manage staff with department growth.
Requirements .
Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience developing new business opportunities, contracts and proposals in the CRO or pharma/biotech industry. Candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven sales track record.
Knowledge and Skills
• Strong negotiation, management and leadership skills are required
• Must have excellent inter-personal skills, be highly organized with great attention to detail
• Must have and understanding of the pharmaceutical/device regulatory approval process and the ability to oversee the development of budgets and clearly written proposals
• Must conduct meetings in a professional manner, have strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to multi-task
• Must work well under pressure and have the ability to meet changing deadlines and demands
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills required
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and co-workers
