Position Description
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our outstanding BioCel Software Development Team for Agilent Technologies Life Science Chemical Analysis Velocity11 Business. As a self-motivated individual, you will have the ability to work on both on individual and team-oriented projects within a fast paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, specifying, developing, and testing software products that control high-tech robotic automation
- Working within a high motivated and driven team working on customizes software for large systems and workstations that meets of each customers laboratory needs
- Writing software to interface our automation controller to customers’ data systems and instrumentation
- Providing internal and external customer software support when necessary.
Requirements:BS/MS Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent experience Industry experience working on commercialized SW products within a product development team; preferably programming for robotics and automation
-3+ yrs Software development within a Windows environment specifically with Microsoft Visual Studio is high desired
-3+ yrs C++ development experience a must
- System integration knowledge is highly desired
- Applicable hands on experience with JavaScript, STL, MFC, COM and/or ActiveX programming preferred
- Successfully adhere to a quality control system that requires documentation
- Ability to provide clear and concise communication of product concepts and engineering requirements
- Track record of success in SW product releases
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills a must
- A solid team player with experience working with cross-functional project teams.
