Position Description
Take the lead to maximize profit and revenue in the exciting new high growth business of Informatics. Leveraging Agilent’s world class Laboratory Informatics platform (http://www.chem.agilent.com), you will have the opportunity to use your Pre-Sales skill, your Technical skills and your customer facing knowledge as an Pre-Sales Application Engineer in the AFO Informatics Professsional Services Organization. Be a key player for a company that is a market leader in delivering innovative technologies, solutions and services to wide range of customers in Life Science and Chemical Analysis market.
Here is what you will be measured on:
• Pre-sales activities and orders for OpenLab/EzChrom/ELN Informatics platform (Clients-Server-Instruments) for Pharma, Petro and Chemical market. This includes the ability to communicate and demonstrate the product features.
• Effectively leading and monitoring small to large scale Projects from a Pre-Sales activity while understanding implementation, integration and validation of our software platform within an environment where Agilent and other vendor’s instrument (Chemical Analysis) are installed.
• Support Region sales organization as key technical resource and main point of contact for all sales support related activities.
• Manage relationship of assigned customer accounts. This Account liaison role will make you accountable for customer satisfaction and awareness of Agilent’s future plan and evolution.
• Work closely within Professional Services Organization to provide complete solution to customer.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction through effective pre-sales support and proactive communication with customers both internal and external.
Qualifications:
• BS/’MS Degree in Computer Engineering, or other related discipline or equivalent
• 5 years experience in the related industry demonstrating rapid skill development and progressively increased responsibility
• 3 years experience in customer facing activities with a customer-first mindset!
• Technical experience with Chromatography Data Systems and basic chemical analysis techniques.
• Technical experience in implementation of IT base solutions (Software/hardware). Preference if experience in related market.
• Exposure to formal Project Management process (like PMI); with ability to demonstrate knowledge of formal project management process and its implication.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability for up to 50% business travel.
