Business Development Director - Medical Intelligence Solutions

Position Description

Medical Intelligence Solutions (MIS,) a member company of Jobson Medical Information LLC, has a new opportunity for a Business Development Manager/Director. This position requires a motivated and consultative sales specialist who is an active listener. Through a deep understanding of your clients’ goals and objectives, you will need to engage pharmaceutical and biotechnology prospects in complex business requirement discussions.

You will call on defined accounts and primarily target; Product Directors or Product Managers, Medical Affairs teams, Market Analytics groups, Licensing and Acquisition groups, and Research and Development leaders. As a project owner, you will liaise with your internal clinical peers. The presentation of final project outcomes will typically be delivered in tandem with your clinical counterparts. While you need not be a clinical expert you need to be comfortable discussing client needs across a variety of therapeutic areas and translating these needs in to appropriate MIS solutions.

This position requires life sciences specific experience and documented success of selling more than one million dollars worth of intangible services or consulting engagements. Sales cycles average several months so therefore you will need to effectively manage your pipeline. Bringing an existing Rolodex of contacts will help you to achieve success more quickly. Previous experience with data driven solutions providers would increase your comfort around our web based deliverables.
