Position Description

MidWest—Biotech Life Science Capital Equipment Sales with
some reagents

Chicago or Michigan Based

If you have experience selling capital equipment
within the Biotech/Biopharm Industry, a great
opportunity awaits! We are looking for a rock solid
Life Science rep with integrity and a well proven
track record (sorry we cannot consider candidates
outside of the Biotech Industry). We are especially
interested in candidates with good contacts in the
major pharmaceutical companies. A “technical savvy”
of the cutting-edge drug discovery technologies is
also required. Candidates need not be gurus (we have
excellent FAS support), however we do require that the
candidates understand the technology and can “talk the
talk.” Candidates with bench/lab experience in
addition to successful sales will be given top
consideration.

The majority of the product line is proteomic and DNA
based capital equipment. Image analysis, software,
and reagents are also part of the product line. This
is a well sought after company in which to work.

Company is rock solid with excellent management.
Total comp will be determined by the overall
experience and educational level of the candidate. A
good “ballpark” total comp should fall somewhere in
the low to mid $100,000; with a base in the $80-90
range.

Candidates must have at least 2-3 years of experience
selling capital equipment within the Biotech/Biopharm
industry. A BS in Life Science or related field is
required. PhD level candidates, with sales
experience, are also encouraged to apply. Travel will
probably fall within the 50-75% range.

This territory is the Midwest and will be based out of
Chicago, MI, or possibly KY or IN. States in the territory are
MI, IL, IN, KY, AK, and AL. Excellent management and benefits,
including generous car allowence.
