Position
Our BI team, responsible for providing operational reporting support and development across all of our client solutions is seeking an Excel/ VBA reporting developer to join its team.
This position requires an individual that can communicate, understand, translate, and deliver report requests for a diverse set of client projects. From a set of requirements, they will create and maintain reports using Excel/ SQL and work with the database to create stored procedures, functions and views.

Trinity’s Excel Reporting Engine is a proprietary solution that automates the creation and syndication of highly formatted and interactive Excel reports and responsible for a large percentage of our client deliverables. In this position, you will be responsible for creating and supporting reporting initiatives on the framework which involves a thorough understanding of SQL and Excel (reporting, VBA, etc.). You will collaborate with the client and their support teams to ensure that requirements and timelines are met. Position requires interfacing with business owners, internal and external groups to understand requirements and suggest solutions, troubleshoot problems and support business reporting needs.

Responsibilities
 Design, develop, and deploy complex reports using Excel/ VBA/ SQL (SQL Server 2005)
 Documentation of specifications for new reports and changes to existing reports
 Analyze data reporting requirements of various business units and create reports and processes to support those requirements
 Work collaboratively and independently with the business groups to create operational reports and the tools to automate their delivery
 Communicate with report owners to ensure that all reporting requirements and specifications are met and documented

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, MIS or related field, at least 2 years proven experience successfully working as a BI/ Reporting Developer.
 Strong problem solving, analytic, and communication skills
 Initiative and ability to learn quickly
 Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
 Ability to multi-task effectively
 Strong service-oriented work ethic
 Experience with MS Excel and VBA in a reporting environment; familiarity with SQL; Business Intelligence platform experience is a plus
