Position
The Associate Database Developer provides technical development and support services to a database, application, and reporting environments in support of the operational and strategic commercial data needs of our pharmaceutical and biotech clients. Daily interaction with internal business analysts is what drives the technical deliverables for this position which include: coding database routines, writing stored procedures, modifying database schemas, SSIS and SSRS packages, and raw data deliveries for business analytics. The Associate Database Developer is supported by an experienced technical team with a diverse background in software and database engineering.

Responsibilities
 Author stored procedures, SQL Jobs, DTS/SSIS packages,
 Develop and manage database import / export processes used to generate client data warehouse deliverables
 Develop and maintain DTS and SSIS packages
 Assist development staff with the debugging and optimization of SQL queries and stored procedures
 Ongoing data warehouse maintenance, change management, and performance tuning
 Transact SQL and stored procedure development
 Research issues and devise corrective actions

Requirements
Ideal candidate will have a B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or MIS, at least one year proven experience in successfully working in a software development environment.
 0-2 years relevant experience
 Strong interest in database technologies
 Basic knowledge of MS SQL Server or Access databases. Oracle 9i-10g databases a plus.
 Experience with 3rd party reporting applications a plus.
 Strong communication skills. Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
 Ability to work on simultaneous projects, is self-motivated, and works with minimal supervision.
