Responsibilities: Assist in the development of the Marketing Plan and strategies for pre-launch and marketed products. Demonstrate the ability to implement strategic and tactical plans for the product, including assisting in establishing and monitoring goals of the marketing plan. Forecasting and analyzing product performance. Supporting the sales force in executing their plans within budgetary constraints. Oversee the development of promotional materials, including management of the regulatory review process. Provide direction to the advertising agency and other consultants toward implementation of tactical plans. Train sales representatives as appropriate. Collaborate and development of global plans.
Requirements: B.A. or B.S. degree. A graduate degree is preferred, but not required. Two plus years marketing experience is desired. Product launch experience is preferred. Eight plus years Pharmaceutical sales experience, knowledge of therapeutic modalities of choice and some knowledge of regulatory and clinical processes is needed. The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to develop consistent, well-supported competitive tactical plans. Strong team-building skills, a team-oriented approach and supportive management style are required.
Desired: Work Expectations: Assist in planning and directing the marketing of products, including managing marketing tactics, sales and production forecasts, pricing, managed care strategies, market research studies (with the Market Research Department), and sales force training and call plans (with the Sales Department). 1. Assist in executing promotional programs and supervising the advertising agency. Direct the advertising agency and other external agencies on implementation of strategies and tactical plans. Communicate strategic and tactical plans to the sales force and senior management. 2. Work with global partners to develop and execute product strategies in ROW countries, including sales execution plans 3. Contribute to life cycle planning for the current and development products. Provide input into commercial assessments of compounds in development and potential in-licensing opportunities.
