SEEKS VP/DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL RESEARCH

Enzo Therapeutics, Inc., a subsidiary of Enzo Biochem, Inc., a long-established publicly traded biotech co. with offices in mid-Manhattan, seeks a VP/Director of Clinical Research. (Title commensurate with experience).

Challenging and rewarding position for a clinical industry professional with the unique opportunity to become a vital part of a growing team of equally dedicated professionals involved in translating pioneering technological platforms into therapeutics/biopharmaceutical products and developing those candidates from the pre-clinical phase through to marketing approval. Enzo Therapeutics focuses on researching and developing therapeutic candidates based on its predominant technology platforms of immune regulation, cell signaling systems and gene regulation.

The successful candidate will possess at a minimum:

a)an advanced degree (Ph.D., M.D. or both, with expertise in cell biology/immunology/molecular biology preferred);
b)at least 5+ years of solid scientific and drug development experience with accountability in :
i)developing the strategy and implementation of high quality clinical development programs leading to timely and cost-effective regulatory approval
ii)planning, executing and monitoring of clinical trials
iii)generating regulatory strategies and possessing general knowledge of regulatory processes, including GCP, etc.

The successful candidate will exert a leadership role both internally and externally, and utilize outstanding management skills with cross-functional teams of scientists, pre-clinical and clinical investigators; data managers; regulatory agencies; administrators; legal affairs/representatives; and business development professionals. The candidate will serve as a company representative and professional liaison to the external world.

The position reports to top management in corporate mid-Manhattan headquarters. The preferred candidate will possess a creative and non-rigid mindset combined with excellent writing, communication, management, research and analytical skills. Position calls for a candidate who is hard-working, well-organized, able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure, adaptable, possesses excellent judgment, is a strategic thinker, and is firmly committed to professionalism.
