LSSU’s instruments , advice, software and services solutions optimize our customers’ workflows in the collection, purification, detection, quantification, characterization and production of DNA, RNA, proteins, other organic molecules and their metabolites.
Agilent is seeking a highly motivated individual with industrial experience in pharmaceutical or fine chemical manufacturing working in materials/production planning. This individual will lead an effort to integrate procurement, logistics, supply chain and manufacturing to affect efficient material flows from order entry to fulfillment, and will also assist production and project management with scheduling and resource planning.
The ideal candidate will have production floor experience (preferably GMP), plus 5 years of materials / production planning and inventory management with standard MRP systems. The candidate must be capable of driving change in materials management, inventory control and scheduling. This person will play a key role representing manufacturing in the implementation of a new accounting software system. The successful candidate will also have a demonstrated ability to interact closely with project and business managers to integrate and update raw material pricing and assure accurate cost modeling.
Other essential duties include:
Ensure that adequate raw material inventory is available through the use of an MRP system
Provide daily updates on raw material status for present and upcoming manufacturing campaigns
Develop inventory processes and analytical and modeling tools to manage inventory levels against production forecast, historical consumption rates, product mix, and financial targets
Identify and implement a planning tool that integrates raw material requirements, production scheduling and finished product inventories
Interact with quality groups, process engineers, and manufacturing as necessary to maintain the production schedule and produce cGMP quality product.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, hands on manufacturing experience, plus 3-5 years materials or production planning experience.
Experience working in fine chemicals/pharmaceutical manufacturing
A proven track record on effective materials/production planning in the manufacture of fine chemicals or active pharmaceutical ingredients.
Strong computer skills; particularly with Excel, scheduling software and accounting/inventory management software.
Experience with interdisciplinary project teams to identify material requirements, optimize timelines, and develop inventory management and control solutions.
Experience committing to and managing aggressive timelines and delivering projects on time.
Knowledge of ICH Q7A and cGMP guidelines a plus.
Knowledge of Lean or 6-Sigma process improvement a plus.
Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Satisfactorily completes all cGMP and safety training in conformance with Agilent requirements. Ensure the compliance with all site and departmental safety policies.
