Position Description

We are looking for a talented science/technical communications specialist needed to join Agilent’s Life Sciences & Chemical Analysis Marketing Operations Team. Come ready to craft high level messaging all the way from application notes to outbound communications for the metabolomics and proteomics platforms. This Marcom position requires excellent project management skills and multi-tasking capabilities. You will be interfacing with agencies and employees and coordinate among numerous product lines. A science degree and/or lab experience, particularly LC/MS, is a huge plus.

Here’s where you get to implement your vision by transforming broad concepts and business strategies into structured projects, lead the design and delivery of new programs and processes and provide solutions to complex, high impact issues, across all Marcom areas for assigned products, markets or customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with a broad range of stakeholders (scientists, product managers, executive management, consultants, etc.) in a highly-matrix environment in order to develop and executive integrated communication projects.
- Discuss and develop concepts for technical marketing collateral.
- Manage communication projects and vendors in the areas of marketing collateral, such as application and product notes, promotional programs, tradeshows, e-communications, on schedule and within budget.
- Facilitate resolution of conflicts of opinions across functional areas and teams.
- Hold regular project review meetings to review content, format and timing of documents and other milestone meetings.
- Ownership and management of all metabolomics and proteomics platform technical and marketing documents within the literature warehouse.

In addition to bringing the required technical writing skills, and industry experience, the position requires the applicant to be willing and able to take responsibility for the mentoring and/or training of colleagues and/or contractors and consultants, maintaining close contact with other Agilent groups and departments, and the coordination of external contractors and agencies.


Requires:
- BA/BS in Marketing/Marketing Communications or Life Sciences or equivalent (complemented by a post-graduate and/or certification/license).
- 5+ years of which will be relevant marketing and/or communications experience
- Excellent proven project management experience including demonstration of planning and organizational skills with minimal supervision.
- Must be deadline-oriented, possessing a sense of urgency, accuracy and will be meticulous and attentive to detail.
- Solid work ethic, professionalism, organizational ability and follow-up skills needed.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Must be computer savvy with PC and/or MAC based applications (MS Office Suite, desktop and web publishing applications, etc.)
- Available to travel.
