Sr Product Manager, New Products - The Marketing Communications Collaborative

Position Description
Boston, MA
Salary Range: $120K-$130K + benefits
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Product Marketing will have global responsibility to research and expand the commercial opportunities for new interventional technologies that allow cardiologists to treat heart defects through innovative, minimally invasive, catheter-based implant procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Develop a detailed and actionable modelof the competitive landscape as it relates to the organization’s proprietary technology, its clinical differentiation and its supporting marketing strategies and tactics;
• With the help of outside communications specialists, develop professional product-line positioning along with related graphic guidelines
• Develop close relationships with R&D to identify and sponsor product line improvements, extensions, and replacement technologies
• Cultivate relationships with KOLs
• Support salesforce through the development of on-going and effective print, direct, on-line and trade show sales materials.
• Attend domestic/international sales/customer meetings, tradeshows and workshops
Qualifications:
• Results oriented management style with focus on professional execution
• Cath lab experience desired
• Demonstrated success in positioning and launching emerging new medical device technologies in domestic and international markets
• Demonstrated ability to understand and execute positioning strategies of products and technologies in the highly competitive and complex lifesciences environment
• Demonstrated experience and success in working with outside communication specialists and vendors in articulating product line positioning
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentational skills
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (30% or more) as required
• A minimum of 15 years of business experience with a minimum of 10 years of experience in product management in the Medical Device, Biotech, or Pharmaceutical sectors
• Understanding of financial modeling and forecasting
• Must have the ability to maneuver in a small, entrepreneurial corporate environment
• Ability to operate and manage across a variety of disciplines on a global basis
• Ability to engage and get buy-in from key internal stakeholders
• Skill in driving teams towards consensus
• Established, professional relationships with leading interventional cardiology centers a plus
• BS required. An MBA or Masters level degree is strongly preferred.
