Vice President, Businesss Development, Pharmaceuticals, New York
$250,000 + Bonus. Relocation available.
We are seeking a Vice President of Business Development for a leading pharmaceutical research intensive company in New York.
The incumbent will report directly to the President and will be responsible for all commercial development activities for the company’s manufacturing and distribution business.
You will develop implement and maintain an appropriate business model to consistently align with the corporate strategies and deliver on the growth goals from sales, earnings, and market sales perspectives via licensing agreement, acquisition, joint ventures or technology exchanges.
Must have solid scientific understanding of the process of drug discovery and development process.
Requirements:
A Bachelors or Masters degree in business and 20+ years experienced in the pharmaceutical industry and/or venture capital/investment banking with business development and operation experience.
10+ years experienced as a VP of business development. An MBA degree is highly desired. An advanced degree such as PhD not required, but considered advantageous.
Excellent leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to multi task and thrive in fast-paced dynamic environment.
Ability to represent Company and build and maintain ongoing relationship with all audiences including industry executives, customers, key opinion leaders and government authorities.
Analytical skills and tools to develop creative negotiating strategies, value deals, and technologies and overall proposals in the context of corporate environment needs and objectives.
Must be a proactive, hands-on and have a results-oriented ethic.
