Position Description

This is an excellent direct hire opportunity with a large, well established pharmaceutical company in the Phoenix area. A relocation package is available.

Under the guidance of the Plant Manager, the position is responsible for directing all Validation and Technical Services activities including validation studies (i.e. IQ/OQ/PQ) for manufacturing processes, equipment, manufacturing facilities, computer systems, and supportive services. The Validation Director is responsible for ensuring the technology transfer of new or contract manufactured products is performed in a compliant and timely manner.

The Validation Director must demonstrate expert knowledge of cGMPs and current FDA regulations, applied knowledge of parenteral processes (e.g., compounding, filling), leadership and management skills including providing vision, establishing direction and goals and guiding execution. In addition, the position requires demonstrated mentoring and coaching, influencing and negotiating and interaction skills, strategic thinking, critical reasoning, problem-solving, decision-making skills, resource management and planning skills.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering or related field and ten years of related experience including at least five years in validation in the pharmaceutical industry and including at least five years of progressively responsible management experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
