My client is an exciting well-funded biotechnology company engaged in discovery and development of novel anti-inflammatory therapeutics. Their science is based on a new medical paradigm of controlling inflammation by activating endogenous resolution pathways.
I have worked with this client since their inception and know it to be a great environment of very talented scientists. This is a critical position which they would like to fill ASAP. This position is in the Boston Massachusetts area.
Description:
Seeking a Senior / Principal Scientist with extensive experience in molecular and cellular pharmacology and immunology. This person will be responsible for investigating the molecular mechanism of action for resolvins and related molecules. This will include studying and identifying the potential receptors that resolvins interact with, including G-protein-coupled-receptors (GPCRs), and establishing relevant cell-based assays.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. or equivalent in immunology, cell biology, biochemistry or a related field.
- 3+ years industry experience in GPCR and receptor pharmacology in the immunology and inflammation area.
- Expertise in inflammation resolution biology.
- Experience with endogenous lipids such as eicosanoids is highly desired.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, energetic and a creative thinker. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.
