Position Description

Technical Project Manager.
Responsibilities includes:

Provides cross-functional technical (e.g. preclinical, formulation, analytical, raw material, clinical fabrication) leadership
and management in a matrix organization for multi-million dollar/multi-year projects.
Development activities for projects from the pre-clinical phase through launch.
Facilitate issue identification and resolution, problem-solving, contingency planning and decision-making.
Manage the technical development of a project (and team where applicable) to meet the product development objectives
(including feasibility assessment).
Develop internal and external partnering opportunities.
Provide direction and guidance to assigned staff on organizational goals and company policies.
Develop team members to be future leaders.
Manage project technical objectives by maintaining and tracking cross-functional timelines, deliverables and milestones.
Establishes project direction and resource requirements.
Manage technical portion of the project budget.
Reviews technical milestones and status of projects with senior management and external partners.
Works with functional managers to ensure the right resources are assign to complete project tasks as well as assisting in the personal
development of the individuals conducting the tasks.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management such as safety and GMP.
Adheres to environmental policy and procedures and supports department environmental objectives.

Qualified candidates for this position will have:

Bachelor’s degree in a Science or related field required; PhD in a related technical field or MBA preferred.
5+ years in a pharamaceutical industry and with medical devices.
3+ years of project leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical or medical device development is required.
Experience working on documents to support Regulatory submissions is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills for cultivating effective collaborations between team members.
A strong working knowledge of cGMP environment.
Manage multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams.
Requires strong interpersonal skills for cultivating effective collaborations between team members.
Requires effective written and oral communication, presentation skills, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize conflicting demands.
Familiarity in planning tools such as MS Project is required.
