We are currently recruiting for the following position:

Medical Technologist

Responsibilities: Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

This position performs hematology, coagulation, chemistry, and urinalysis procedures on submitted samples according to established methods and standard operating procedures.

This position is responsible to read, understand and follow study protocols, standard operating procedures, safety requirements, regulatory guidelines (e.g. GLP) and company policies. It performs accurate analysis of submitted specimens using instrumentation to include but not limited to: Advia 2120/ 120, Diagnostica Stago Compac, Olympus 2700/640, Clinitek Atlas/500, Bayer Rapidpoint 405, Helena Spife, and Precision Systems Osmette according to established procedures. This position also performs manual procedures on specimens as needed.

Using a microscope, this position performs differential blood counts, blood cell morphology, Heinz body counts, reticulocyte counts, and evaluation of specimens for ova and parasites. It will provide clear and detailed documentation of all procedures, practices, techniques, instrument maintenance, methods and reagents used, and training in compliance with GLP standards; provide input into assignments and think ahead with demonstrated planning skills; and notify Project Leader or Manager as soon as problems are identified that affect the integrity of data or assigned task.


Qualifications: This position requires a BS with MT (ASCP or equivalent certification); or an AS with MLT (ASCP or equivalent certification); or a BS with MT (ASCP eligible or equivalent certification) and 2 years MPI Clin Path experience; or an AS with MLT (ASCP eligible or equivalent certification) and 4 years MPI Clin Path experience. Work is primarily independent, but group individuals will assist each other in bringing tasks/projects to successful completion.

Additionally, having the ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, sometimes on short notice; and having the ability to work under specific time restraints is expected.
