Position Description

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and high goal achieving team of individuals supporting the growth and development of Agilent’s (GC/LC) columns and consumables line. Specifically, each team member will:

- Provide applications assistance and technical support via the phone, e-mail, web chat or fax for customers seeking assistance on Agilent’s products.
- Interface and team with the consumables and instrument sales teams including the Application Engineering team to assist them in positioning Agilent products or solutions.
- Interface with Customer Service employees, and distributors, to assist with product recommendations and returns.
- Conduct or participate in e-Seminars, trade shows and customer seminars to present Solution Unit generated materials.
- Capture and provide feedback from customers and business partners to aid the Solution Unit’s marketing and order fulfillment teams with understanding the customer dynamics influencing their decisions to buy or not buy Agilent products.
- Provide technical support assistance to help solve customer’s application problems
Interface with product marketing, R&D, manufacturing on new product development ideas and key product issues.
- Researches and documents product and customer support/solution needs.
- Solves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity.

This position will require specific experience utilizing liquid & gas phase applications in any of the following fields; pharmaceutical, petrochemical, forensic, chemical manufacturing and/or environmental.

Qualifications:
- Position requires a MS in Chemistry or a related discipline, Ph.D. highly desirable.
- At least an additional 5 years practical experience performing GC and LC analysis preferably using Agilent Technologies Gas and Liquid Chromatography instrumentation, and/or Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS and/or LC/MS) including Chem Station experience.
- Several years of experience working with a variety of (J&W GC/Zorbax LC) column products in a lab environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent English written and oral communications skills are a must.
- Excellent teamwork skills, commitment to tasks and flexibility
- Ability to conduct unrestricted domestic and international travel
- Ability to work independently to plan, prioritize workload, schedule time, assess and solve problems.
- Experience working with international customers desired.

Travel: 25% of the time
