Position Description
Proven Scientific Practice is currently working with a client seeking a highly motivated research associate to join their Pharmacology team to work on in vivo models of CNS disorders. This individual would support multiple drug discovery and development efforts and play a key role in efforts to evaluate the efficacy of various therapeutic strategies for the treatment of depression and related mood disorders.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will involve all aspects of conducting an efficacy study including: drug administration, behavioral testing, study monitoring, and liaising with multiple functions across departments.
Requirements:
A BS/BA degree or equivalent in the biological sciences with 0-3 years experience.
Experience conducting basic in vivo procedures, such as drug preparation and administration, blood collection, animal handling and care.
Experience with behavioral assessment of animal models is highly desirable although training will be provided.
Excellent record keeping, attention to detail and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment and be flexible in adapting to change.
This ia an exceptional opportunity for a new grad with some hands on academic pharmacology experience!!
