Position Description

PROVEN Scientific Practice is currently working with a client seekimg an Associate Scientist within Development. This is a growing company in Carlsbad, CA focused on custom cell culture development for their clients.

The successful candidate will perform HPLC and FPLC method development for custom cell cuture development for protein production. Experience with expression technology is desired, working with testing from different types (multi-levels) of expression systems – CHO cells, HeLa cells, even bacterial and yeast fermentation experience would be beneficial. They will be testing to determine active levels of protein in harvested media.

Position requires a BS degree and 4+ years experience or an MS with 2+ years. Experience with development work in HPLC is required. May also be asked to perform ELISA and some other tests for determination of protein concentration but they can train on those aspects.
