Position Description

As a Telesales Specialist supporting Agilent’s GC/LC Columns and Supplies channel, you will have the opportunity to apply your sales and technical skills in a dynamic sales environment. Based in our Wilmington Delaware sales center, you will work with the outside sales channel to drive order growth primarily through lead development and outbound sales activities. You will provide a quick response in the form of quotations and technical information to customer inquiries, and will be expected to provide cross-selling or up-selling to the customer to drive sales.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sell and close sales for low-complexity consumable products and supplies to end-user customers.
- Develop sales leads for your assigned accounts as well as identify larger opportunities for the outside sales staff for your assigned districts.
- Utilize marketing promotions to generate leads and to grow sales.
- Work as a team with your outside sales managers to identify and implement strategic outbound campaigns to drive sales growth in your areas.
- Perform activities associated with quotes, discounts and other sales related requests.
- Assist the outside sales team with face-to-face seminars and eSeminars by encouraging customer participation, assisting with associated logistics and following up on lead opportunities.
- Compensation will reflect team quota achievement.

The preferred hours for this position are 9:30-6:00pm Eastern.


Requires:
- BA/BS degree in Science or Business related field, or equivalent experience.
- BA/BS degree in Chemistry or Biology Science preferred.
- GC and/or HPLC experience a plus.
- Experience in a customer facing sales role
- Competitive selling experience desired
- Strong interest in interacting directly with customers (via phone, email)
- Excellent verbal, written and phone communications skills
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, database applications, CRM tools)
- Must be a team player with ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic team environment
- Available for up to 10% travel if needed
- French language skills a plus.
