Position Description

The Software QA Engineer will participate in the planning and execution of test projects.
This includes all aspects of testing such as:
• User Interface and Usability test.
• Functional test of the V11 Automation software platform, ActiveX controls and hardware drivers for Velocity11 and third party devices.
• Integration test of device drivers with V11 Automation platform
• Code Coverage test using DevPartner software.
• Reporting and tracking product defects.


Required Qualifications:
•BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
•5+ years of software QA experience.
•Commitment to producing quality software that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
•Ability to work closely with developers to identify, debug, and resolve software bugs.
•Experience writing test plans and test cases.
•Experience writing easy-to-understand defect reports
•Commitment to continually strive for excellence.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
•Ability to clearly communicate status and progress.
•Capacity to work independently or as a part of a team, with minimal supervision.

Prefered Qualifications:
•Knowledge of JavaScript and Visual Basic.
•Experience using SQL.
•Understanding of XML and HTML.
•QTP automated testing experience.
•Experience in testing SW that controls devices.
