Position Description
As an Instrument Sales Specialist supporting Agilent’s Life Sciences Chemical Analysis (LSCA) Analytical Sales channel, you will have the opportunity to apply your prior analytical laboratory experience in a dynamic sales environment. Based in our Wilmington Delaware sales center, you will work with the outside sales channel to drive order growth primarily through inbound customer calls, but may also require outbound sales activities. You will provide a quick response in the form of quotations and technical information to customer inquiries, and be expected to provide cross-selling or up-selling to drive customer sales. Supporting sales of Agilent’s LSCA analytical product portfolio, your assigned portfolio will include simple instruments, accessories, and software such as Agilent Autosamplers, Capillary Electrophoresis systems, LC Modules, GC Detectors, and Software Upgrades. You may also be required to provide quotations for more complex systems or for repeat buy business.
You will be responsible for closing the sale on your assigned products, managing a sales funnel, and generating leads for the outside sales staff for the products you do not support.
This is the perfect opportunity for an individual experienced in analytical chemistry with the ambition and drive to make the transition into the sales arena.
The schedule for this position is 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalent
- Hands on experience with analytical instruments, GC and/or HPLC
- Commercial lab experience preferred
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, database applications)
- Competitive selling experience desired
- Strong interest in interacting directly with customers (via phone, email)
- Excellent verbal, written and phone communications skills
- Must be a team player with ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic team environment
- Available for up to 10% travel if needed.
