Position Description

As a Biological Manufacturing Associate, you will join a dynamic biological manufacturing team within Stratagene – An Agilent Technologies Company. You will have the opportunity to work independently as well as part of a team to ensure the efficient production and quality control of life science products.

The ideal candidate will also have proven proficiency in molecular biology techniques including but not limited to: end-point and real-time PCR, DNA/RNA extraction and purification, gel electrophoresis and other nucleic acid-based technologies.

You will have the keen ability to perform these tasks while adhering to industry and government standards regarding proper laboratory techniques and safe handling of biohazardous and radioactive materials.

You will be measured on your ability to:
•Conduct the manufacturing and analysis of materials for the qualification of cell related kits, with limited supervision.
•Actively assist with the introduction of new products and exploration of new technologies for the improvement of product quality and efficiency.
•Demonstrate ability to trouble shoot technical problems as they arise.
•Answer technical questions about products responsible for.
•Manage laboratory supplies and maintain diligent records of data and processes.
•Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in routine written reports.

Qualifications:
-BS/MS degree in biological science or related field.

-Two years or more of previous related experience in molecular biology and/or biochemistry in a similar working environment.

-Proficiency in molecular biology techniques.

-Strong quantitative data analysis skills.

-Demonstration of excellent communication and teamwork skills.

-Computer literacy and hands-on experience working with database software applications a must.
