We’re placing a major emphasis on growth by expanding our ranks with an energetic and qualified Software Development Engineer to join our outstanding Software Development Team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, with the ability to work comfortably on both individual- and team-oriented projects.

Responsibilities include:
• Specify, design, develop, and test PC software and embedded firmware for exciting new products.
• Work collaboratively with applications and test engineers to refine product specifications and designs.
• Provide internal and external customer software support when necessary.

Qualifications:
Job requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees are desirable.
• 5+ years of technical experience required, with past work on product-development teams on a hardware product.
• Experience with C/C++ development required; embedded programming experience preferred.
• Real Time Operating System experience required
• Experience working in TCP IP client Server and RS232 communication protocols required
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and other software-development tools required.
• Demonstrated C/C++ programming skills in a product-development environment.
• STL, MFC, ATL, and/or ActiveX experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of STL, MFC, ATL, ActiveX, and other related software technologies.
• Ability to provide clear and concise oral and written communication of product concepts and engineering requirements.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal directions and ask questions when necessary.
• Ability to adhere to a quality control system.
• Willingness to exercise considerable independent judgment.
• Demonstrated strong follow-through with thorough attention to detail.
• Experience developing production-quality software required, with robotics and automation experience a plus.
