A high-growth biopharmaceutical company is expanding their commercial operations and is looking for an industry professional to lead their Market Research and Analytics team. This is an established, global organization with double-digit annual revenue growth and an exciting work environment where our teams have unusually strong personal chemistry. Using molecular based drug discovery techniques they’ve had two new product approvals in the past year and the stock price has risen over 50%. With five compounds in various stages of clinical development, they have been able to raise over $100M in capital in the past six months and are on the verge of becoming a major force in the industry. They now need a Senior Manager of Market Analytics to help take them to the next level.

The Role:
As head of the market research and decision support function you will lead a small team responsible for primary and secondary market research, forecasting and data analysis. You will support in-line brands and product launches, developing the analytical processes that will help ensure profitability across the product portfolio. And the high-profile nature of the role means that you will work closely with teams in Business Development, Finance, and Manufacturing, in addition to Marketing.

This is a long-term strategic planning role that will have direct impact on the success of this high-growth organization. Specific duties include supervising primary market research studies (both qualitative and quantitative), managing vendors, and making recommendations to senior management based on your findings. You will also gather and maintain competitive intelligence in markets of interest.

Using prescription audits (IMS, NDC and others) and syndicated data sources your team will develop market assessments and build models that will help set long-term strategy for the company. You will also evaluate clinical benefits of new product candidates and develop sales forecasts and financial projections. This is a vital role in a rapidly expanding organization, so there are significant opportunities for career development and advancement.

Requirements Needed to be Successful:
· 3+ years of Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry market research and analytical experience
· Specific experience with primary and secondary research techniques, forecasting, commercial assessment, and competitive intelligence
· Bachelor’s degree or better; MBA or equivalent is preferred
· Excellent leadership, presentation and interpersonal communication skills (supervisory experience is preferred)

The compensation plan includes an extremely competitive base salary plus incentive-plan bonus, and an opportunity for stock options. Relocation assistance will be provided.
