Position Description

Vice President of Business Development (Custom Research & Manufacturing)

The Port City Group, Inc. is representing a well diversified integrated pharmaceutical industry player with a strong track record of 25+ years in chemicals and polymers business. This company has a global presence with businesses & manufacturing units in India, Europe, and the US.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

1) Business development with regard to custom manufacturing, custom synthesis, contract research with large pharma companies for their pre-clinical, Phase I, Phase II, Phase III and commercial quantities business with respect to advance intermediates, all proprietary products, API (NCEs)

2) Achieving the business wise revenue & profitability targets for the region.

3) Developing business with regard to contract research on FTE /Molecular basis to all the research for pharma and agro chemical companies.

4) Participate in all major exhibitions & conferences in the region for building relationship & contracts.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Education:
M Sc (Organic Chemistry)
A degree in Business with specialization in Marketing/Sales is desirable

EXPERIENCE

The candidate should have around 12 –14 years of relevant experience in Business Development of custom manufacturing, custom synthesis, contract research, etc. with Life Science companies mainly pharmaceutical and agrochemical companies.

The candidate should have strong understanding of pharma & agro –chemical business with excellent coordination, communication, IT, networking & interpersonal skills. He/she should have strong commercial acumen & should also have strong team management skills.
