The Manager of Business Development is responsible for developing new business opportunities and other key targets through direct sales efforts to drive the company's revenue growth and services utilization. The Business Development Department is accountable for collaborating on the development and execution of the sales, marketing, and developmental plans for the company. The individual needs to be located in the Midwest, preferably in the Chicago area.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

• Builds a robust pipeline capable of generating revenue growth and backlog consistent with short and long term targets


• Generates leads to ensure influx of new and repeat business as set by sales goals


• Meet objectives tied to revenue, growth, and expense


• Work with marketing, pricing, proposal development and contracting functions to maximize outcomes of process


• Develop monitor and report on key performance indicators and metrics, making appropriate adjustments to achieve objectives


• Capable of building and expanding relationships with existing customers to support the organization’s long term growth


• Expectation that 80% of time will be spent soliciting clients, meeting with clients and developing client relationships

Education and Experience

• Bachelor degree,  MBA a plus


• Minimum of 5 years industry  or related experience required


• Strong knowledge within clinical trials, pharma, biotech, and/or CROs
