Full-time Assistant Director, Reimbursement Strategy and Trends

at Xcenda in Charlotte, NC or remote

Position Summary

Under general direction of the Senior Director, works with the Reimbursement Strategy & Trends team and clients on projects, proposals, conducting research, and analyzing data.

 


 


Primary Duties and Responsibilities




  • Supports directors with direct day-to-day reimbursement project activities including reimbursement, health policy and legislative research, analysis and project oversight

  • Determines how clients’ products can best be accessed by patients and providers and can best meet market needs

  • Develops proposals and concept papers that clearly convey the excellence of Xcenda’s services with accurate budgets

  • Demonstrates commitment to the firm

  • Is an integral part of a high performance team

  • Recognizes changes in project scope and determines appropriate manner of feedback to client

  • Provides feedback to team members to strengthen performance

  • Maintains individual chargeability requirement

  • Continuously monitors, assesses and identifies strategies to improve the quality of projects, project deliverables, presentations and consulting services

  • Identifies strategies to proactively address quality issues and supports implementation of quality assessment and improvement processes

  • Participates actively in regular team meetings

  • Manage clients and projects providing the highest quality and utmost customer service

  • Supervises budgets, projects, project-related personnel and direct reports

  • Identifies and pursues new business development opportunities


  • Performs related duties as assigned.


 


Experience and Education Requirements





  • Requires broad experience in fields such as public policy, business administration, sales, marketing, or similar vocations generally obtained through the combination of completion of a four year bachelor's degree program and relevant experience. Master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.


  • Employment in the health care consulting or pharmaceutical industry/ biotechnology/medical device (minimum of 3-5 years) with a history of successful achievement in the fields of reimbursement strategies and tactics and/or health policy experience


  • Proven ability to contribute to a team and to deliver results on time, with the available resources, and within budget


  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects and with multiple individuals simultaneously


  • Proven ability to maintain high quality output


  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/medical device industry and experience with issues surrounding the marketing of pharmaceutical products, to include the issues surrounding reimbursement of those products

  • Broad technical knowledge of reimbursement strategies and/or health policy

  • Interest and ability to “think outside the box”


  • Excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex material in presentations and discussions in a straightforward manner

  • Displays flexibility and collaboration


  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to develop sound, long-term client relationships and an ability to influence clients without being overbearing


  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, successful consulting firm, which maintains high quality standards and demands excellence
