$6.25M grant establishes leukemia research initiative

Researchers at The Cancer Institute at NYU Langone Medical Center are heading up a $6.25 million, 5-year research initiative to develop new therapies and increase the cure rate for children and young adults with acute lymphoblastic cancer, the most common form of childhood cancer. Funded by a grant from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the initiative will encompass four research projects and include investigators from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the University of Colorado, Nationwide Children's Hospital, and the University of New Mexico.
