INC Research Appoints New Chief Information Officer to Lead Data Intelligence Initiatives

Seasoned IT Leader to Drive Global Efficiency Using Advanced IT Strategies

Raleigh, N.C., Dec. 10, 2012 – INC Research, LLC, a therapeutically focused global clinical research organization (CRO) with a Trusted Process® for delivering reliable results, today announced the appointment of Sal Chiovari as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). Chiovari brings extensive experience in building high-performance teams and managing infrastructure services for global organizations and will lead the Company's worldwide Information Technology (IT) initiatives, including the development of new information systems architectures and strategic plans aimed at improving efficiency for clinical development programs.

Chiovari brings more than 25 years of experience in IT leadership and data management to the role, including more than a decade of work related to the life sciences industry. He joins INC Research from Smith & Nephew, a global medical technology and devices company where he served as CIO. He also has served in senior IT positions at Primedia Corp. and Baxter International. Chiovari holds a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Illinois.
