Researchers hopeful of Alzheimer's cure

A team of Australian researchers has developed a drug that they believe could cure Alzheimer's. Animal studies have demonstrated that the drug--PBT2--prevents the accumulation of the amyloid protein that is linked to Alzheimer's. Human tests are slated to begin next month and the researchers say a therapy could be on the market in four years. There are currently no drugs on the market for curing Alzheimer's.
